The can swaps the yellow of the original for Rossi's blue and yellow VR46 racing colours, with the Monster claw rendered in bright yellow against the deep blue base and Rossi's signature printed on the can. The back carries a tribute to the man himself, describing how the legendary MotoGP champion continues to live life in the fast lane, and declaring that Valentino "The Doctor" Rossi was and always will be a badass.

This 2025 release follows the original The Doctor can, launched in the UK in 2014 and also in the PullTab archive, which became one of Monster's most recognisable athlete collaborations. Where the original carried full sugar, this successor keeps the same light, crisp citrus flavour profile but strips the sugar out entirely, bringing the Rossi partnership in line with the zero sugar direction driving most of the energy category's growth. Like the original, it is a UK market release not widely available elsewhere, and sealed cans already trade among collectors internationally.

Rossi retired from MotoGP in 2021 with 9 world championship titles and the most premier class wins in the sport's history, and now races in four-wheel motorsport while running the VR46 Academy and his VR46 MotoGP team.
