The current standard UK can from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, priced at 90p, wearing the campaign line that has defined Dr Pepper's British marketing since 2024.
The can keeps the classic deep maroon colourway with the Dr Pepper logo front and centre, and the 'Try More Weird' wording worked into the design. The campaign embraces the drink's famously indescribable taste, with slogans like "I don't know what it is, but I like it", and has included some genuinely odd activations, most notably the Can-sultation promotion, where consumers messaged a chatbot Doctor and ticked off symptoms of boredom, including vacant staring, enjoying Excel or having an urge to iron, to be prescribed a free Dr Pepper.
Dr Pepper dates back to 1885 in Waco, Texas, created by pharmacist Charles Alderton, predating Coca-Cola by a year. Its blend of 23 secret flavours is officially classified as neither a cola nor a root beer but its own category of pepper soda.
In the UK, it is the second largest flavoured carbonate brand and the fastest growing in its category, while in the US, it recently overtook Pepsi to become the second best selling soda in America.
