Huel (short for Human plus Fuel) launched in 2015 with a mission to make nutritionally complete, convenient and affordable food with minimal impact on animals and the environment, and has since sold over 500 million meals worldwide. 

Daily Greens marks the brand's move from powders and shakers into the ready-to-drink canned soft drinks chiller, pitched as greens without the scoops, powder or preparation.

The can design reflects Huel's clean, wellness-led branding, a soft pastel colourway and the brand's simple lowercase wordmark, deliberately understated next to the loud graphics of the energy drink shelf it often sits beside. The 330ml slim format matches the premium presentation of the wider functional drinks category.

Inside, the drink blends fruit and vegetable juice concentrates including spinach, kale, broccoli and cucumber with sour cherry, strawberry and blueberry, sweetened with stevia. Each can carries just 25 calories, under 1g of sugar and 3g of fibre, and is fully vegan. The Peach and Hibiscus flavour sits alongside Apple, Cucumber and Mint and Blueberry, Lemon and Thyme in the Daily Greens range, sold in the UK at around £2.20 per can through Holland and Barrett and other retailers.

A marker of how far the functional wellness category has moved into mainstream canned soft drinks, from a brand that began as a meal replacement powder.
