The Night and Day collection launched in April 2012 across nine European countries, with Gaultier appointed as Creative Director of Diet Coke. The campaign was shot by photographer Stephane Sednaoui and launched with British actress Gemma Arterton in London. PULUZ
This is the first time in Diet Coke's history that a design collaboration was translated onto its 330ml cans. The Night and Day cans were sold at Harvey Nichols across the UK as part of a collector's set, and were later accompanied by a third design: the Tattoo can, released in October 2012.
This can is the companion piece to the
Day version in the PullTab archive, which features Gaultier's signature Breton stripe design. Both cans were the piece that started the PullTab archive and hold particular significance to the collection.
